Storm Preparedness Tips
1. Have a plan- Come up with a plan for different crisis situations. Be sure the whole family is involved. Practice by having drills.
2. Survival Kit- Create a survival kit and fill it with life-saving essentials. Don't forget to include a supply of any important medications, if necessary, such as an EpiPen or an inhaler.
3. Weather Radio- Keep an emergency weather radio in your kit, so you'll know what's going on outside.
4. Stay Away- Stay away from doors and windows. Head to your predesignated "safe space" and stay there until the storm is over.
5. Be Aware- Be careful of downed power lines or damaged electrical installations when going outside after a storm.
